Permit Information and Forms

The City Of Rock Hill enforces state adopted building codes as well as a zoning ordinance and other municipal ordinances. These codes and ordinances require a permit to construct, enlarge, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of any building or structure. A permit is also required to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system. Licensing Information

Any contractor doing work in the City of Rock Hill must obtain a business license. Some types of businesses such as electricians, plumbers, general contractors, HVAC, and others will require proof of a current South Carolina Contractor’s License before a City business license can be issued. All contractors obtaining a business license per job will be required to submit a copy of their signed contract or other proof of the cost of the project.
